Sarah has had a varied career commencing as a domestic abuse worker in sheltered accommodation, followed by youth support work with young offenders. She then did a Graduate Diploma in Health Counselling and practised for several years before completing general nurse training. After qualifying as an RGN, Sarah worked as a school nurse and a clinical nurse on a general medical unit in a private hospital. She was then promoted to Clinical Nurse Manager and was responsible for general medical, surgical and high dependency units. She switched to elderly care several years later and has worked as a Home Manager, a Regional Support Manager in Service Recovery, and a Quality and Compliance Manager before being promoted to Head of Quality and Compliance. During this time, Sarah completed formal training in Clinical Governance and is a level 4 trained Safeguarding Lead. Sarah was Head of Quality and Compliance for 4 years before joining the Towerview Care Group in May 2022. Although English by birth, Sarah has spent 25 years living and working in Australia. She also did a stint at a clinical nursing faculty for 18 months in Abu Dhabi, working with the first cohort of 3rd and 4th-year Emirati nursing students. Sarah and her husband like to relax on their narrowboat and have 3 children.
