Hi, I am Rachael. I have been a Registered Mental Health Nurse for over 30 years and have worked in many settings during that time.
I began working in the NHS in acute, community and rehabilitation settings for 11 years. I then moved to the Prison service and as the Head of Healthcare. I have worked in every type of secure establishment in this county with male and female prisoners. I have also worked across the immigration estate.
After 19 years within the secure estate, I joined Care UK, where I supported the mental health division as Head of Quality before becoming the Governance Director for a different organisation covering thirty-two services, including nursing, residential, and younger people and supported living across England, Scotland, and Wales. After much travelling around the country, I decided it was time to spend more time at home than in hotels, so I took up a Registered Managers role in Leeds during COVID as a turnaround position. Once the home had turned around, it was time for me to move back to the more familiar multisite territory.
Wanting to stay within travelling distance to home and being a Yorkshire girl, I accepted a Regional Operational role within Yorkshire before joining Towervuew in October.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my two Bassett Hounds.
